Body found in search for boy, 16, who vanished swimming in lake with friends

A spokesman said: “It is believed the boy, who is 16 and from the Essex area, was swimming in the lake with a group of friends when he got into difficulty.It comes after it was revealed a 15-year-old schoolgirl was found dead after playing in Britain’s longest river with friends.Emergency services rushed to reports of a teenager in the water at Burnside Lakes, in Cherry Hinton, just outside of Cambridge, at around 5.30pm yesterday.Burnside Lakes, former chalk pits which were closed in the 1950s, is not open to the public and signs warn the public of deep water around the fenced area.
