Rundown seaside resort wins Britain’s capital of romance as locals buy more top-end bouquets than anywhere else

They are also spending more on their loved ones too.And they don’t just push the boat out on February 14, they do it all year round.The town of Bathgate, between Glasgow and Edinburgh, saw shoppers spend the most, per bouquet, on loved ones.Overall, Brits are buying more top of the range blooms – with demand up 25 per cent on 2023, according to Tesco.

The study by the charity Plan International UK analysed data including rates of teenage pregnancy, sexual assault, the gender pay gap and life expectancy.
